Appointments

City Kids Dental intends to attract parents that share a common interest in providing their child with the best possible care.  Our knowledgeable desk staff is eager to work with you on scheduling an appointment time that is both convenient and best for your child.  We recommend that pre-school age children visit us in the morning when they are best rested and fresher.  Morning appointments are also recommended for longer restorative care for the same reasons.  The pace of the morning schedule is slower allowing for more highly focused individual attention that can be extremely beneficial for this age group, as well as, children undergoing longer restorative care visits or nervous children. 

We do our best to accommodate school aged children after school, as well as, accommodate parents’ busy schedules.  Morning, evening and Saturday appointments are available.

We offer tech savvy appointment reminders!  Take advantage of our convenient email and text message appointment reminders to accommodate your busy lifestyle!  This service is free to our patients.   

Financial Guidelines

We are a fee for service office.  Payment for professional services is expected at the time these services are provided.  We gladly accept cash, personal checks, American express, visa, mastercard, and discover card payments.  As a courtesy to our patients we will electronically file PPO dental insurance claims on your behalf for reimbursement back to you.  A PPO dental insurance is one which allows you to choose your child’s dentist.   

Insurance

Although payment is expected at the time our services are provided, as a courtesy to you we will file any PPO dental insurance for reimbursement back to you.  However, most insurance companies do not alert us to the fact that they have issued you a check.  Please monitor this carefully.  If you have not received your reimbursement within four to six weeks of your visit, we recommend you call your insurance company and inquire about the status of your claim.   Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. 

City Kids Dental will also prepare receipts that meet your FSA and HSA account requirements. 

We do not participate in any insurance plans, nor do we participate in Medicaid or All Kids insurance.

 

Cancellation Policy

Appointment time is specifically reserved for your child.  If cancellation is unavoidable, please give us the courtesy of 48 hours advanced notice. This allows us enough time to coordinate and schedule another patient who needs our services.  We reserve the right to charge for appointments that are cancelled or broken without 48 hours advanced notice.  We realize that unexpected things can happen but we ask for your assistance in this regard so that we may best serve all of our patients. 

 

Late Arrival Policy

Our ability to give your child excellent pediatric dental service is compromised if you arrive late.  If you arrive 10 to 15 minutes late for your child’s appointment, you may be asked to reschedule if it is not possible to give your child the quality care they deserve in the resulting reduced amount of time.  We strive to see all patients on time for their scheduled appointments.  We make every effort to stay on schedule and we want to be respectful of your time and courteous of the patients after you.   Please call ahead so that we may do our very best to be flexible and make every attempt to succeed in our efforts. 

Eme rgencies

If your child has a dental emergency, such as, oral trauma, pain or swelling, please call the office.  If you reach the office after hours you will find emergency contact instructions on our answering machine.  Also see our FAQ section on dental emergencies.
